Our Christmas Week

Scott had several days off this past week, so we tried to pack it with fun stuff, including: seeing real reindeer, LOTS of sledding, hanging out on Christmas Eve, and once we had opened presents: TONS of Wii. For the record, Cerise LOVES the snow and Morgan ABSOLUTELY HATES IT!!!

A long overdue post

We went to Idaho Falls the first weekend of December to see our nephew, James, baptized (which we almost missed); our nephew, Matthew, blessed; Scott's brother, Stephen get his Eagle; have the annual O'Connor family Christmas party; visit my brother, Kevin; and swing by Salt Lake and Ogden to see the lights. Needless to say, it was a VERY busy weekend, but we had fun and loved visiting everyone. Here are some pics of the highlights (warning LOTS of pics):

Cerise was the official photograper for the gift opening. She literally took 20 or more pics of Uncle Stephen opening his gift (although not a single one of him once it was opened). He was getting a bit embarassed:

Our very own Mastercard commercial

Yesterday, while playing "storekeeper" the following conversation occurred:

Mom: How much does this candle cost?
Cerise: One penny.
M: Okay, how about this wallet?
C: Three Pennies
M: Okay, that's all I need. Thank you madame storekeeper.
C: Wait! Surely there's SOMETHING else you need!
M: Ummm, how about obedient children. How much do they cost?
C: (with no hesitation whatsoever) One hundred thousand dollars!!!

How did she know that such a commodity would be worth so much?

Why, Why do I ask for her opinion???

Since Scott won't have a descent conversation about baby names until we know the gender, I have been running my ideas past Cerise. So far she has shot down EVERY. SINGLE. NAME. She always has a reason too. It is so frustrating. So, what does she have against the names? I'll tell ya. Here are the ones we discussed today:

Camryn: Sounds like Camera
Quinn: "Sounds like Queen and then SHE would be the queen and Morgan and Me would be the Princesses, and I want to be the queen."

Ryan: Sounds like Lion
Bryce: Sounds like we're eating Rice

I am quite convinced that this child will NEVER have a name that everyone agrees on!

We have a date!

Well, at my Dr's appointment the other day, I was able to convince them that I NEEDED to have my ultra-sound before Christmas, even though I won't be 20 weeks until the week after. So, on Dec 23, we will be finding out if this peanut is a boy or a girl. We don't really have a preference either way, as long as it is healthy. We love our girls, and wouldn't mind one bit adding another, but we would also enjoy a little more testosterone in the house. Either way, we will be thrilled. Santa will be filling a pink or blue stocking with appropriate items as our way of telling the girls. Should be fun! Stay tuned.

I have the best husband.

So, tonight I was craving Wheat Thins and Easy Cheese (healthy, I know). Scott and I had already been to various stores several times today, and it never once occured to me that this yummy combination might taste good.
However, tonight, after the girls were in bed, and I had just returned from another run to Target, I was craving Wheat Thins and Easy Cheese. So, Scott went to the store and got some for me. Can I just say YUMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks hon, you're the best!!!

On a side note, did you know that if you got to Target and buy something at regular price that WILL be on sale on Black Friday, that if you take in the receipt within 10 days of Black Friday, they will give you the Black Friday price. How cool is that??? (kinda takes the excitement out of waiting in line at 4:00am, but hey, I know I got my stuff!!!)

The things I have done are bold/italics. IF you like this, copy and paste it on your blog.

(sorry, I just read this and it is hard to tell which ones are bold/italics. However, since I don't know how to selectively change the font color, you'll just have to squint. Or teach me how to change the color).

Edited again to say: I changed the font so it is a little easier, but I would still like to know how to change the font on only PART of a post, or just one post.

Some Cute Fall Pics

We went to the park tonight to take some pictures in the leaves. I don't claim to be good at photography, but I think that for pictures taken by ourselves, these turned out decent. Hopefully we will use one of these in our Christmas cards. Enjoy.

If you recall, when I took this test in June it said I was at a college (undergrad) level. Then in July, it said I was up to Post-Graduate reading level. Well, behold, I am now a:

GENIUS!!!!

Life is SOOOO unfair!

So, Scott has been out of town for business trips the past two weeks. The first week he was in Florida, for training for work. The second week he was in Washington DC training for his upcoming speaking assignments with Clean Energy America.

So, while he was staying at hotels that looked like this:

and this:

And seeing sights like this:

I was at home cleaning up PUKE. For TWO DAYS STRAIGHT (all while still dealing with my own morning sickness)!!! Poor girl, Cerise was SOOOO sick.

We are glad that Scott is home now, and that he enjoyed his trips.

We're Off to See the Wizard

Our family dressed up as characters from the Wizard of Oz. Unfortunately, we didn't get any pics of Scott and I, but we looked good. I was Dorothy, and Scott was the Scarecrow. Cerise was Glinda the Good Witch, and Morgan was a brown, floppy-eared Toto (it was the best I could do). This week was rather crazy, with Scott out of town until Friday afternoon, so we didn't get any really great pics , but here are a few of the best ones:

Cerise as Glinda for her Preshool Party
(Big thanks to Grandma for making this GORGEOUS dress!!!)

Morgan insisted on having a "pitty dess" too, so here are my two "pincesses":

Sorry, I didn't get any pics with Cerise's really pretty hair. You just get the thrown together hair do. For trick or treating her hair looked like this:

This is the only decent picture I got of Morgan by herself:

The girls ready to go to the Costume Party at the gym where Cerise has gymnastics:

Jumping on the Tumble Track (aka, long trampoline):

Making it Official

So, I've had the counter thingy on my sidebar for a couple weeks, but I thought I should make an official announcement. We are officially expecting baby #3. I am due in May. We are all EXTREMELY excited (and I'm a little intimidated, but still thrilled). There you have it, it's official.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

Today on the way to the Pumpkin Patch (pics soon to follow) the following conversation occured:

Cerise: Daddy, tell me something about yourself.
Scott: I (thinks for a minute) love Mommy.
Cerise: Well, (long pause) You can't make it up.

Here are some random pictures from the past few weeks. Nothing really to report, but I thought that I'd at least give my readers something to look at.
