Free Bowling

We signed up at kidsbowlfree.com so the girls get two free games of bowling every day all summer. We upgraded and paid $23 so that Scott, Grandma, and I also get two free games of bowling every day. What an awesome program!!! Anyway, we had never been bowling with the girls before, so on Saturday we decided to take them. It was really fun, and the girls had a blast. We will by no means be going every day, but I think we'll get good use out of it. I know you all don't care to see a million pictures of us bowling, but this blog is sort of a journal for us, so I have to include them!

The way I did it at home today, and the way it will likely be most days, because it is tons easier and faster than the other way:

Chalk Art Festival

On Saturday Scott had to work (again), but we were able to meet up at really cool local event, The Chalk Art Festival. I had never heard of it before this year, but was pleasantly surprised to learn that it is an annual event, and one that is open to the public. Maybe we'll let Cerise participate next year. This year we just went and enjoyed some seriously cool chalk art. People who sign up get to decorate one square on the sidewalk surrounding a local strip mall. Here are some pics of us while we were there as well as some of our favorite squares (I realized after I posted that there are a lot of pics. Sorry. There was a LOT of cool art):

Strawberry Lemonade Cheesecake

My friend Seleta had this posted on her blog a couple of weeks ago, and I finally got around to trying it tonight. DELICIOUS (and VERY easy)!!!!!!

1 pkg. (8 oz.) PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
1/2 cup frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1 tub (8 oz.) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed, divided
1 HONEY MAID Graham Pie Crust (6 oz.)
1-1/2 cups sliced strawberries
2 Tbsp. sugar

BEAT cream cheese in medium bowl with mixer until creamy. Gradually add concentrate, beating well after each addition. Stir in 2 cups COOL WHIP. Spoon into crust.
REFRIGERATE 4 hours or until firm. Meanwhile, toss berries with sugar. Refrigerate until ready to use.
SERVE pie topped with berries and remaining COOL WHIP
